I love Glass' Theme so much, what a wonderfully productive hour!
Strange to me that Dave Grohl couldn't understand what you were doing. I love the alternative versions of songs that you play live (and record) including the fantastical Machina era versions. I'd really love to see the full Metro 2000 "final performance" one day, An Ode To None from the Greatest Hits Video Collection is my favourite live concert video ever, so kick-ass!
Mike Garson was wonderful on the Machina tour (and the Adore tour).
I'm so excited to hear the reconstituted full album.
I loved those shows I went to one then hauled the next day to Detroit for the next one. To me it was theatrical and def a darker feel, but I knew it was a dramatic take. I thought it was brilliant. Then again one of my fav albums ever is Sgt. Peppers by the Beatles from quite an early age. I’ve always been a fan of concept albums.
I saw the show from the Machina tour on the old Michigan State Fair grounds at the Colosseum. Awesome show. Chris Chelios and Darren McCarty were there too.
Oh I didn’t know that serious bummer because it was amazing for concerts. It used to hold airplanes when it was first built from what I remember. We got there as fast as we could se we were literally running in lol. Of course worked our way to the front like some pros
The Lives with Q/A, a gift, thank you. Great answer to the question about the aggressive tone of the machina live era. Yeah the bullet live was dropped and heavy and fast, a great version IMO. If you’ve not seen it go search it, doesn’t disappoint for those looking to understand what Billy was saying.
Loved the live stream! Thanks for sharing all the BTS & mindset at the time. There is mystery around the band & music from this era which still exists (at least for me). It adds to the emotional landscape when listening to the plethora of music. Cannot wait for the reconstituted Machina in all of its polished & rough edges glory 🖤🥀
Resume the Pose Tour / was there & Loved it even though my sleeping bag was covered with frost the next morning from camping out in the cold, Utah, winter weather. 😎
Thanks so much for sharing these insights and more so the music from whence they came. Here's to 25 years. Very much looking forward to the reconstituted record.
Thank you for sharing these insights on Machina. Such an impactful record for that time in my life. It's amazing that 25 years later we have the ability to hear first hand accounts from WPC in real time!
Best album ever. Look forward to hearing it in it's final form.
Very insightful, thanks for sharing
Pay wall suggestion: let's do a traitors weekly reaction live event.... nothing big. 10 min of WTF, no way and predictions 😁
This was fantastic, thank you! 🙏

I was at the same one and that was awesome such a cool place to see them there
It was! Such a unique place. I remember standing in line outside and you could hear them play Drown during soundcheck.
Sadly, it was torn down recently.

Thanks Billy I so appreciate these live videos. I was at the Durban South Africa show and it changed my life.

Can you believe people are bitching about $8 for this type of content?
Thanks for posting this up so we could watch after the fact. Was in the car when you were live earlier.
Pound for pound, Machina might be the best of all the SP albums.
11/29/2000 was the 2nd to last show
at the United Center. It was a Wednesday. My very first pumpkins show. A night I'll never forget
I was there! So fun. Couldn't snag a metro ticket though....
I was in high school. Barely even made it but I did.
